On Sunday, 23 May Yvonne Scelson, Antonio dos Santos, Mike Butler and I handed out 380 mosquito nests and over 300 boxes of juice to Angolans south of Luanda.
While in Luanda, Yvonne got with Antonio and I and expressed her desire to come up with a plan to help with the needs of the Angolans. She has seen several commercials on TV talking about the number of children dying each day from Malaria, so she decided she wanted to donate nets to the people out south of Luanda. Sunday morning we loaded up the EDGPA van and headed south toward the Kwanza River. We stopped along the highway when we came to small groups of houses, Antonio gathered the locals together and we started handing out the nets and juices. We had a great time, everyone we met was very polite and thankful for the items.
What a Great Day!!!
Here are a few of the photos from our trip.
